Natural Cures by Cleansing Colon

The colon is the end portion of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and is responsible for the absorption of water and minerals and formation and elimination of waste. An unhealthy colon can impair proper functioning and result in many health ramifications such as sluggish metabolism, digestive problems (constipation and stomachache), weak immune system, skin problems and even irritable bowel syndrome.     A healthy colon is inhabited by 85% or more of the good bacteria, otherwise known as probiotics. The two main kinds are acidophilus and lactobacillus.
