How to Naturally Reduce Scarring

There are many ways to reduce scarring, including some ways to naturally reduce scarring. Though it's always best to treat wounds properly to try and prevent scarring, you can also reduce scarring while the skin is still healing, as well as after the scars have formed. Below are some of the more effective, natural ways to reduce scarring.

Instructions

    1

Apply tea tree oil directly to the wound. Tea Tree Oil is the best treatment to use on open wounds to help to prevent scarring. Just apply a few drops to open wounds a couple times a day. It can also be used during the healing process of the skin once the wound has closed.

    2

Apply a few drops of lavender oil directly to the skin during the healing process to help prevent scarring.

    3

Apply Vitamin E Oil to the skin during the healing process, as well as once the scars have already formed to help reduce scarring.

    4

Massage skin during the healing process to help prevent scarring.

    5

Apply St. John's Wort Oil 2-3 times a day to reduce scarring. St. John's Wort can be used on any skin that is healing or healed and scarred. However, never use St. John's Wort on open wounds.
