Hydrogen Peroxide Can Improve Breathing

When 16 oz. of 3.5 percent diluted hydrogen peroxide is mixed with 1 gal. of water and used in a vaporizer (humidifier) every night, it is an excellent form of lung therapy, especially for cases of emphysema. This particular mixture is beneficial for the general public to use, as it allows oxygen to be more readily received into the body.

Hydrogen Peroxide Must Be Used in Small Doses

While hydrogen peroxide in small dosages is usually nontoxic, larger doses--especially if ingested--can irritate the gastrointestinal tract. Because most people have a relatively high tolerance for hydrogen peroxide, not all do, so mixtures and dosages must be carefully measured and health monitored while engaging in hydrogen peroxide lung therapy.

Bottom Line

Hydrogen peroxide lung therapy cannot replace medical care or treatment that a specialized physician can provide, but it can make daily life easier by improving breathing quality by allowing more oxygen to be in the body.
