How to Cure Stinky Feet

How to Cure Stinky Feet

Some people just have sweatier and stinkier feet than others. If you're one of them, you're familiar with the embarrassment sweaty feet can cause. People with stinky feet typically keep their feet and shoes as clean as everyone else does, but unfortunately, it's not enough to prevent the problem. You need to go above and beyond to keep your feet clean, dry and fresh.

Instructions

    1

Bathe or shower daily, but pay extra attention to your feet. Wash them carefully with soap and water, washing thoroughly between each toe.

    2

Dry your feet thoroughly and carefully after washing. Make sure the spaces between your toes are completely dry before you do anything else.

    3

Put on a clean pair of natural-fiber or moisture wicking socks.

    4

Choose a pair of shoes that you did not wear the day before. If your feet sweat a lot and tend to be stinky, they need longer than just overnight to dry thoroughly. Therefore, don't wear the same shoes two days in a row.

    5

Sprinkle over-the-counter foot powder into your shoes, according to the package instructions.

    6

Bring an extra pair of clean socks if you'll be gone for several hours. Change your socks before your feet have a chance to get sweaty and stinky.

    7

Apply stick antiperspirant to the soles of your feet every night before bed.
