Side Effects of Fertility Blend

Side Effects of Fertility Blend

Fertility Blend for Women is a dietary supplement used to increase the probability of conception. According to its manufacturers, the Daily Wellness Company, Fertility Blend contains ten vitamins, minerals and herbs that enhance a woman's reproductive capabilities. Although the company's website, www.fertilityblend.com, touts the supplement's benefits, some women have suffered side effects during use.

Nausea

Like with other dietary supplements, Fertility Blend can cause nausea in some women.

Headaches

Herbalheals.com notes that Fertility Blend can cause headaches in some women due to hormonal changes.

Hot Flashes

Although Fertility Blend balances a woman's hormones naturally, some women may experience hot flashes as a result, especially if the product is not taken as directed.

Drug Interactions

Fertility Blend for Women should not be taken with prescribed fertility drugs, like clomiphene citrate, or during other fertility procedures because it may interfere with these drugs.

Benefits

Despite these side effects, a study published in April 2004 "Journal of Reproductive Medicine" proved the effectiveness of Fertility Blend. Twenty-six percent of participants taking the supplement conceived, while only ten percent of the participants in the control group got pregnant. As with any substance, it is up to the individual and her doctor to determine if a product is safe.
