Squeeze 3 -4 calamansi fruit on a warm cup of water. Add 1 -2 teaspoons of sugar or according to taste.
4In addition to step 4, calamansi fruit can also be warmed and gently rub on your throat, re-warm as needed. (This is the whole fruit, you don't need to open the fruit. Just heat it on the microwave, warm enough to be felt on your throat.)
5Take some soup to treat your hoarseness if a cold caused it. The heat will create humidity.
Also, taking a garlic supplement will help thin the mucus. You could mince a glove of fresh garlic, but if you hate the garlic smell that will linger on your breath, the supplement is a good alternative.
