How to Make Facial Toner With Apple Cider Vinegar

How to Make Facial Toner With Apple Cider Vinegar

The key to beautiful, blemish-free skin is in your kitchen cabinet! Store-bought facial toners can contain chemicals and preservatives, but a homemade apple cider vinegar (ACV) toner is a natural and cheap solution to your beauty woes. Unfiltered ACV, found in health food stores, is packed with vitamins and minerals and contains alpha-hydroxy acid, an ingredient often found in anti-aging products. It also balances the skin's pH, regulates oil, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Instructions

    1

Combine 3 cups distilled water with 1/3 cup ACV.

    2

Pour into a bottle and shake well.

    3

Soak a cotton ball with the toner and apply to a cleansed face.

    4

Additional ingredients can be added if desired. Add a few pills of aspirin, which contain salicylic acid. Substitute antioxidant-rich green tea for the distilled water. Add a few drops of tea tree oil or a few teaspoons of witch hazel for additional antibacterial properties.

    5

For best results, store the toner in the refrigerator.
