Difference between Biotic Silver & Colloidal Silver

Difference between Biotic Silver & Colloidal Silver

Biotic silver and colloidal silver are both natural health remedies used as antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal agents. Both consist of microscopic amounts of silver processed to remain in suspension in water.

Form of Silver

Colloidal silver is composed of approximately 50 to 80 percent silver particles and the balance as silver ions. Biotic silver is composed of silver powder combined with a protein binder.

Efficacy

The greater the surface area of the silver particles, the more the product will react with its environment, which, it is believed, is an indicator of how effective the product will be. A greater concentration silver particles, rather than larger silver protein molecules, will increase the product's surface area at equal concentrations.

Cost

Biotic silver is simple to manufacture and can even be made at home. Colloidal silver is more complicated to manufacture, and is therefore the finished product more expensive to purchase than biotic silver.
