Make Body Wraps

Body wraps can help you lose water weight, tighten and firm your skin, and detoxify your body. Using a body wrap will open up your pores and allow your body to flush out toxins. Body wraps are readily available at spas throughout the country, but you can make your own body wrap for a quarter of the cost of a spa treatment. Just be sure to set aside an hour and a half to two hours to fully enjoy the experience.

Instructions

    1

Set up your bathroom by lighting scented candles and turning on some relaxing music.

    2

Make your body-wrap paste in a blender with the meat of one avocado, one cup of heavy cream, one-half cup of oatmeal and one-fourth cup of aloe vera gel.

    3

Exfoliate your entire body using an exfoliating sea scrub, then rinse off and pat dry.

    4

    Line your bathtub with towels.

    5

Apply the body-wrap cream, starting with your legs and working your way up. Once your body is slathered in cream, begin wrapping your body with plastic wrap.

    6

Lie down in your bathtub and relax for 45 minutes. If you are cold you can cover yourself with a sheet or more towels.

    7

Step out of the tub and remove the plastic wrap from your body. Remove the towels from the bathtub and take a relaxing warm shower to remove the cream from your body. Do not use soap.

    8

Towel off and apply your favorite moisturizer.
