How to Use Green Clay Internally

Green clay is often found in various skin care products, but it is also used internally as a detoxifying cleanse by practitioners of alternative medicine. When taken internally in its powdered form, green clay is believed to treat nausea, soothe menstrual cramps and abdominal pain, and cleanse the colon and liver. A study by doctors from Arizona State University found evidence that green clay also promotes the sterilization and healing of wounds.

Instructions

    1

Measure a teaspoon of powdered green clay with a wooden spoon.

    2

Pour the mineral water into a clean drinking glass and stir in the green clay.

    3

Leave the mixture to stand overnight, during which time the clay and water will separate.

    4

Drink in the morning on an empty stomach. There are two ways to take the green clay: You can drink the clear liquid that has separated from the actual clay, or stir the mixture with the wooden spoon to bring the clay to the surface and drink the clay with the mineral water.

    5

Repeat the process daily for 3 weeks. Then take a 1 week break.
