How to Lower Choleterol

Cholesterol is a fatty component your liver makes to build and strengthen your body's cellular walls. You have two types of cholesterol: bad cholesterol (low density lipoprotein or LDL) and good cholesterol (high density lipoprotein or HDL). Having bad cholesterol causes heart problems due to plaque buildup in the arteries, while keeping good cholesterol and high density lipoprotein will protect against heart problems. There are ways to lower your cholesterol naturally with different potent cholesterol-lowering nutrients and herbs.

Instructions

    1

Eat turmeric. This potent herb, used in East Indian dishes, contains the compound curcumin, which can improve your blood circulation while lowering bad cholesterol (LDL). Add turmeric to your main dishes every day.

    2

Take policosanol capsules. Policosanol is a potent extract derived from sugar cane wax. It works by helping to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase good cholesterol (HDL). Take one 10 mg capsule once a day, preferably with meals.

    3

Consume plenty of garlic. This common herb contains the compound allicin, which is not a only a potent natural antibiotic, but can be a cholesterol-lowering substance as well. Add garlic to your dishes daily.

    4

Take olive leaf extract capsules. The compounds in this Mediterranean plant can lower blood pressure, regulate blood flow and lower cholesterol. The recommended dosage is one 525 mg capsule to be taken with meals once every day.

    5

Consume guggulipid capsules. This ancient East Indian herb can be as effective as most modern drugs like vidistat. It acts by reducing bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglyceride levels. Take four 250 mg capsules every day.
