How to Make a Homemade Colon-Cleansing Drink

The colon is responsible for absorbing nutrients and eliminating waste products and toxins. The colon has many folds internally, and periodically waste products can get trapped, causing constipation. Colon cleansing is a suggested practice to maintain overall health and prevent toxic buildup. Colon-cleansing products are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration, so colon cleansing drinks should promote natural bowel movement and waste and toxin absorption.

Instructions

    1

Place one tablespoon of bentonite clay in a tall drinking glass. Add eight ounces of water or apple juice, or a mixture of both. Mix thoroughly with a spoon to remove clumps.

    2

Add one teaspoon of psyllium husks to the mixture and stir thoroughly. Let stand for five minutes for the psyllium powder to dissolve and expand in the liquid (stirring periodically).

    3

Add up to two tablespoons each of aloe vera and/or chlorophyll, as desired. Stir completely and drink immediately.

    4

Take the drink twice daily: in the morning at least 30 minutes before breakfast and in the evening at least 30 minutes after dinner.
