How to Kill Bed Bugs With Medicine

Imagine lying down on your bed after a long day's work when you come across an unwanted visitor: a bed bug. These tiny wingless creatures live in the mattresses (especially the used ones) or furniture of many homes and hotels and feed on the blood of mammals. The best way to kill bed bugs is to find their trails, which look like rusty spots on the mattress, and treat the area with insecticide medicine (be it organic or store-purchased). Store-bought medicines (aka insecticides) can simply be purchased and sprayed on the mattress, however these may not have positive side effects on your children or pets. Organic insecticide can be made at home and applied just as any store-bought insecticide.

Instructions

    1

Mix the alcohol, soap and water in a spray bottle and shake well.

    2

Pull the sheets and other bedding off the bed and wash thoroughly. Spray the mattress and other furniture down with the spray bottle and allow it to dry. Isopropyl alcohol obstructs the respiratory cycle of bed bugs.

    3

Spread the boric acid powder on the mattress and allow to sit overnight. Vacuum the powder off the next day and remake the bed.

    4

Perform Steps 1 through 3 twice a week for a month or until no more bed bugs are found.
