Home Treatment for Sweaty Palms

Sweaty palms can be associated with natural sweating processes; when you are overly warm, you might get sweaty palms as your body tries to cool down. After your body cools, you stop sweating. Sweaty palms can also be caused by anxiousness or nervousness, and it can occur when you are nervous about a social situation. Sweaty palms can, therefore, be embarrassing when you want to shake someone's hand. There are some effective home treatments that can help you diminish excess sweating, nervous sweating, and issues with sweaty palms.

Sage

    Sage is a natural herb that is used to treat conditions such as tonsillitis, gum sores and other mouth sores, and sage is also used for minimizing the amount you perspire. Sage is a natural drying agent, and can be consumed as an infusion or in tincture form. To create a sage infusion pour 1 pint of boiling water over 2 to 3 tsps.of dried sage leaves in a glass, heat-resistant container. Cover the mixture and steep for 15 minutes. Consume the infusion three times daily to diminish issues with excessive perspiration. Or, take 16 to 40 drops of sage tincture three times a day to control issues with sweaty palms.

Schisandra

    Schisandra is derived from the schisandra fruit. This herb is commonly used for treating liver conditions and digestive issues. Schiscandra can stimulate the adrenal gland and is used to speed recovery from illnesses as well. Traditional Chinese herbalists use schisandra to control diarrhea, perspiration and frequent urination. This herb has several flavors, including acrid, salty, bitter, sweet and sour. This herb is adaptogenic and contains eleuthero, which helps correct imbalances in your body. Use schisandra in tincture form. Dilute 1 to 2 droppers of the tincture in 1 cup of water. Some individuals may experience gastrointestinal irritation when consuming schisandra. If you experience stomach upset, cease using the herb and try another herbal remedy.

Passionflower

    Passionflower is used to treat anxiety. This herb may help alleviate sweaty palms due to nervousness and anxiousness in social situations. Passionflower is considered a calming herbal remedy and is used to treat seizures, hysteria and insomnia, as well. This herb increases the amounts of gamma-aminobutyric acid in your brain; thus, it reduces the activity of certain brain cells and incites relaxation. Consume passionflower as a tea by brewing 1 tsp. of the dried herb in 1 cup of hot water for 15 minutes. Strain and consume the tea when it has cooled down. Drink passionflower tea three to four times a day to alleviate anxiety and sweaty palms caused by anxiousness.
