Homemade Parasite Cleanse

Parasites in your colon or intestine are unwelcome visitors that can have a major impact on your health and well being. Getting rid of parasites in your body can be as easy as using a colon cleanse. Many products are commercially available such as Bowtrol or Colonix, however, homemade parasite cleanses can help you avoid harsh side effects. Many of the ingredients in homemade parasite cleanses may be in your pantry, or they can be purchased at health food stores.

Black Walnut

Black walnut is considered an optimal ingredient to use in a colon or parasite cleanse. The green hull part of the black walnut is helpful in killing parasites. The brown staining color found in the green hull contains iodine that is organic and healing to the body. It also has antiseptic properties. Follow the instructions carefully on the bottle of black walnut tincture. Generally a tincture is added to liquid and consumed several times a day for best results.

Make your own tincture by soaking 1/2 cup black walnut hulls in 1 cup water for one hour. Strain and add 2 to 3 drops to an 8-ounce glass of water. In order to retain the healing properties, use black walnut hulls that are still green, as those that have turned black are no longer beneficial. The beneficial iodine in the hulls is responsible for killing the parasites. Black walnut is high in the mineral chromium and also has B15 and manganese.

Pumpkin Seeds

Pumpkin seeds are another useful alternative. Simply chew the seeds to eliminate worms from the body. Pumpkin seeds are thought to paralyze parasites over time, causing the worms to lose their grip on the intestinal walls and expel from the body. Raw pumpkin seeds are available at local health food stores. Native Americans are known to have used pumpkin seeds effectively to cleanse the body of parasites.

Garlic

Garlic has antibacterial properties, making it useful in ridding the body of parasites. It's has a normalizing effect in the colon along with being able to treat many types of infections in the gastric system. It is most beneficial to use garlic within 15 minutes of crushing open the clove. Chew one whole, peeled clove of garlic two to three times per day. If desired, garlic can be taken with some water and honey to make it more palatable. Crush the garlic clove, add 8 ounces water and stir in 1 teaspoon honey. Mix the ingredients together, and drink once or twice a day for the best results.

Peppermint

Peppermint seeds are another good option. They can be purchased at a garden supply store that carries dried seeds. In addition to peppermint providing a fresh feeling in the mouth, it also has the ability to ease upset stomachs and kill parasites. Menthol is the main ingredient in peppermint seeds and has antibacterial properties. Peppermint seeds also stimulate the bowels to help eliminate parasites.
