How to Detoxify With Epsom Salts

Adding Epsom salts to your bath can provide a series of health benefits. The sulfates in Epsom salts flush toxins from the body, increases the body's ability to absorb nutrients and reduces migraine headaches. The magnesium in Epsom salts ease sore muscles, reduce stress, improve sleep and help prevent blood clots. Both minerals are easily absorbed into the skin, making Epsom salts an ideal addition to your bath water.

Instructions

    Fill up your bathtub with warm water and add two cups of Epsom salts for a standard size tub. If your bathtub is very large, add four cups of Epsom salts.

    Use your hand to stir the Epsom salts into the bath until they have completely dissolved into the water.

    Soak in the tub for at least 12 minutes to get the detoxification benefits of the Epsom salts.

    Take an Epsom salt bath three times a week to detoxify and keep your body free of toxins.
