Zinc Cream for Sweating

Zinc Cream for Sweating

For those with excessive sweat, daily interactions with people can be an embarrassing experience. Armpit perspiration can be maintained with deodorant and antiperspirant, but sweaty palms and feet are likely to go untreated. Zinc is a trace element found in the body that has a variety of health benefits. A cream made from zinc can be applied directly to the skin to form a barrier against sweat while retaining the skin's moisture. The cream is available from health stores, but can be made at home with only a few ingredients.

Instructions

    1

Fill the bottom of a double-boiler or sauce pot on the stove, and turn the heat onto low. Set on the double-boiler top or heatproof container.

    2

Combine 3 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of beeswax in the top container and stir with a wooden spoon. Heat the mixture while constantly stirring until the beeswax has dissolved. Set the pan aside to cool slightly.

    3

Stir together 3 tablespoons of water with 1 tablespoon zinc oxide powder in a small, airtight container, and attach the lid. Shake the lid vigorously to combine; the powder will not dissolve.

    4

Pour the zinc mixture into the pan while whisking to combine.
