How to Disconnect the LED Light on an E-Cigarette

Smoking is both an expensive and deadly habit. Unfortunately, it is also a difficult habit to break. Many people try a wide range of remedies to help kick the habit including prescription drugs, nicotine patches and gum and even hypnosis. The latest method to help people try to quit now is the Electronic Cigarette, which simulates smoking by producing a safe mist that gives the physical sensation of smoking, but without the nasty side-effects. Electronic cigarette batteries are equipped with a small LED light on the end that lights up when the smoker takes a drag. This LED light can be disabled.

Instructions

    1

Remove the battery end of the electronic cigarette from the refill cartridge.

    2

Use a small pair of needle nose pliers to remove the LED light from the tip of the battery. Twist the LED light carefully back and forth until it works itself free.

    3

Plug the soldering iron in and allow it to heat up.

    4

Touch the tip of the soldering iron to the three wire connectors at the base of the diode just long enough for the soldering joints to weaken and then pull the three wires from the diode connector ends.

    5

Push the LED back onto the tip of the E cigarette battery tip.
