Flora-Q is another name for Lactobacillus acidophilus, a bacteria species that is a part of the gastrointestinal system's normal flora. It functions by maintaining a healthy environment within the intestines, by preventing the infections of harmful bacteria.

Allergic Side Effects

    Side effects are generally caused by allergic reactions to taking Flora-Q. These include swelling of the throat, mouth or face, as well as breathing difficulties and hives on the skin.

Other Side Effects

    Besides an allergic reaction, side effects are generally uncommon from taking Flora-Q.
