How to Make Distilled Water Alkaline

How to Make Distilled Water Alkaline

Having an acidic pH within your body is said to cause a wide range of symptoms, including general immune system weakness and premature aging. You can balance your pH by taking in the right vitamins and minerals. You can also drink alkaline water, which is a basic solution. Distilled water is pH neutral, but you can make it alkaline in order to balance your pH.

Instructions

    1

Pour 1 tsp. of baking soda into a gallon of distilled water and stir thoroughly. A series of chemical reactions will take place that will increase the pH of your distilled water.

    2

Check the pH of your water using a pH kit. Continue this process until the pH reaches the a level between 8 and 9. Do not exceed a pH of 10.

    3

Alternatively, you can use alkaline drops. Follow the instructions for the amount of water you're using. Following the instructions will ensure you get the optimal pH level.

    4

Buy a water filtering container for alkaline water on the go. An alkaline filtration bottle looks similar to a normal water bottle, but it will have a filter containing minerals that turn your distilled water into alkaline water.

    5

Pour your distilled water into a water ionizer for the ultimate in pH level control. Water ionizers use electricity to ionize water, and have multiple pH settings. Some ionizers can also decrease the pH level, making the water acidic. Make sure you choose the right setting for your alkaline water.
