Epson Salt & Yeast Infection

If you are looking to cure your yeast infection using an alternative medicinal product such as Epsom salt, then you will be disappointed. Yeast infection can be remedied through various homeopathy treatments, but not Epsom salt.

Attribute

Epsom salt is a chemical compound of magnesium and sulfate, and it has powerful attributes to soothe achy body and joints.

Function

Epsom salt is used mostly during baths and rarely ingested unless you want to alleviate some constipation.

Considerations

Because yeast infection is an internal infection, it is important to tackle the problem at the root cause; not necessarily looking at the symptoms.

Effects

Aside from providing acute relief to your yeast infection, such as anti-itching cream, you should examine whether the yeast infection is caused by lack of good bacteria in the system, bad hygiene or some underlining disease such as diabetes.

Solutions

Among other remedies, yogurt, acidophilus, tea tree oil and garlic are the known home remedies used to alleviate the discomfort feeling associated with having a yeast infection; however, epsom salt is not one of them.
