Calophyllum inophyllum is a tropical evergreen plant which can grow up to 30 meters high. The trunk is thick and the bark is dark to grayish brown. The plant grows in Southeast Asia, Southern India and the islands of Melanesia and Polynesia. The plant produces a nut from which the oil is extracted.
