Home Remedies for Roundworms

One billion people in the world suffer from roundworms---parasites that take up residence in the intestines. These creatures can grow up to 15 inches long and can lay 200,000 eggs a day. The roundworms create havoc in one's system, including loss of appetite, abscesses in the liver, intestinal blockages, appendicitis, upper abdominal pain, rashes, eye pain, and asthma. Before resorting to medical treatment, try one of the several home remedies available to knock out these parasites.

Diet

During the treatment, adhere to a certain diet. For the first four or five days, eat only fresh fruit. After this, eat light, well-balanced meals incorporating plenty of vegetables, fruit, whole-wheat bread and milk.

Do not eat anything high in oil, cream or butter, and eliminate any products high in fat. Repeat the all-fruit diet to prevent recurrence; if the worms recur, eat uncooked vegetables and drink plenty of fruit juice.

Pumpkin Seeds and Pomegranate

Drink a mixture of 1 tbsp. of skinned and crushed pumpkin seeds with 250 ml of boiling water. Before doing this, empty your intestines by drinking prune juice. The day after the purge, drink three or four glasses of this pumpkin seed juice.

Drink a tea made from pomegranate tree bark to poison and kill roundworms. Consume the tea in amounts of 90 to 180 ml three times for adults and 30 to 60 ml for children, with one hour between each ingestion. Next, purge the intestines with prune juice

Coconut and Garlic

People have used coconut for more years than we can count to fight off intestinal worms. At breakfast time, drink 1 tbsp. of fresh-ground coconut. Three hours later, drink 30 to 60 ml of castor oil and 250 to 37 5ml of lukewarm milk. Repeat until you have flushed out all of the worms.

Garlic, an ancient remedy still used for many health issues, can also help you get rid of roundworms.Crush garlic cloves and wear them in your shoes or socks so it can penetrate through the skin, or simply eat the garlic. Both ways allow the garlic into the blood and then the intestines, killing the worms.
